We celebrated the outstanding contribution of volunteers across the county, with this year’s awards receiving the highest number of nominations to date.
The 2026 Volunteer Individual Recognition Awards honoured 57 volunteers for their dedication, commitment, and positive impact in their communities.
The Volunteer Project Awards recognised innovative projects that demonstrated strong community impact and meaningful volunteer involvement. Six winners were selected from 15 nominated groups:
- Mill River Conservation Group, Buncrana
- Survivors Informing Services and Institutions (SiSi), Glenties
- Gemma’s Legacy of Hope
- Ukraine Voice in Donegal
- All In Club, Creeslough
- Arcade, Dungloe
Donegal Volunteer Centre Manager Eamonn Bonner said the awards provide an important opportunity to celebrate the generosity, kindness, and selfless contribution of volunteers throughout Donegal.
